Below are my first two years of student evaluations at James Madison University, beginning with Fall 2024. The “mean” beside each course shows the overall rating for that specific section of the course, and the “semester mean” shows my overall rating of all the courses I taught that semester. The “semester school average” shows my department’s overall ratings for all courses taught. My numbers show overall improvement through the semesters, adjusting for teaching new courses and slight variations, and have generally been in line with those of the rest of my department. Student comments indicate that I am an “energetic, knowledgeable, and empathetic” professor, and that I provide meaningful and helpful feedback. Full course evaluations available on request.
